So, I watched Re; and I’m not even attempting to complain how bad the writing is generally, because one thing annoyed me more than any others. Kallen’s character writing was awful. The whole movie she was reduced to a love sick puppy who would ocassionally burst into tears or randomly hugging Lelouch in front of everyone while he wouldn’t give a flying fuck about that. You would see her blushing when he takes his mask off or stuff like that. Is that the same girl who never gave up her goal and dream for a man, even though she was in love with him? The same one who kissed him good-bye and got the whole Requiem plan without anyone telling her anything? Or am I supposed to understand that Re; is a sequel to the movies so the whole character development is dead? She deserves so much better.
