Today’s live 🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤 ZERA General Hospital: Second Branch
This is the show I came to Japan for and it was everything I wanted and more 🥹 I also dragged @xexir along to experience their first vk show ☺️

Where do I even begin. This was a special concept live by my favorite band, Zera, where they dress up like they’re doctors at a hospital (a bloody, creepy, hospital). When the curtain opened and I saw Hisui wearing white contacts with a bloody face and I think I died right there on the spot.
I can’t go over the setlist in detail because so much was a blur but they played SO MANY songs I haven’t heard live before. Zetsubou, Zangetsu, Erika, 涙音, strange milk, TRICKSTER, evil…, and Scum 🖤. They also played so many of my favorites: kuroiyorimo, Scum, Lemmings, evil≠live, antagonist, octavius, PURGE into Parasite??? The whole second half of the setlist was made directly from my dreams 😭
燭 was Hisui’s ballad song and we all stood still as they played. Hisui did so well, his performance was very emotional.
He didn’t do much MC, but everything was in character. I THINK he introduced himself as a surgeon and kept calling us human meat or something?? Also he introduced KIRAN as a new doctor to the hospital (because he wasn’t a member when they did the previous hospital live. Hisui also interacted with KIRAN quite a bit and even had him sing into the mic at one point. I don’t remember which song it was during but at one point KIRAN took off his tie and started choking himself with it 😌 (cz also says he popped a blood capsule in his mouth and spit blood but I didn’t notice because I was watching Hisui 😅)
The first half of the set had quite a few (comparatively) lighter songs and ballad types, but the second half got increasingly fast and hard and violent as it went on. Hisui kept egging us on to give more and more 暴れ energy and I thought my head would roll off my neck from headbanging. The very last song they played was Parasite which I was hoping for the entire show because it’s one of my absolute favorites. During the middle of the song, Hisui splits the crowd, and Hisui and KIRAN jumped down into the empty space with us. KIRAN did some cool spinning kick move with his guitar to show off and then Hisui stayed in the middle during the ‘wall of death’ when we all rushed back in towards the center and bounced around so I got to bump into him a few times ✌️😌 Then while we were doing the rest of the song, Hisui was wandering around the back half of the crowd and leaning in towards people all creepy-like while singing. When the song ended he was still in the crowd with us and then he tossed his water bottle to some people behind us and then escaped out the side door of the hall 😂
KIRAN, Ryu, and Minagi all threw their hospital name tags into the crowd instead of picks today which I thought was cool. When the show was over we rushed to the merch table because they didn’t to encore (it looks like maybe they don’t do encore anymore? Just play through all the songs with no break.)

I bought 4 cheki (2 hisui, 1 Ryu, and 1 Minagi). I also bought their concert DVD from last year and a smartphone 2shot ticket. I spent enough money that I also got two more cheki 2shot tickets.
I used my smartphone ticket to take a pic with Ryu because I think he’s cool. He wore glasses during the photo which I love ☺️ we match. I told him Zera is my favorite band and I came from America to see them. Ryu said my Japanese was umai ☺️ and then he said “see you later” in English 👋
I used my two cheki tickets to get photos with Hisui. he was wearing white contacts today which means it’s hard for him to see so idk if he even really knew who I was lmao. When I chose first pose I showed him the photo from previous hospital live 2 years ago and he leaned in REALLY close to my phone to see the pic. (he also made a little shocked noise that it was my lockscreen lol, I told him it’s my favorite pic) So we did combo gyaru peace ✌️✌️ then next one I asked for 不気味な笑顔 and he liked that as well and gave a crazy smile ☺️ Ugh, his speaking voice is so charming 🥺
After the live, a bunch of us went out for post-live food and drinks and had a lot of fun chatting ☺️
