Honor Awards (May 2018/ Third week) 

During 6th grade year, I came across this song during a pep rally. The song was quite catchy, and I can recall walking into the auditorium hearing it all over again. Before Honor’s Awards started, Principal Hicks decides to play a song of encouragement and completion. “I get a feeling that I never never never never had before, no no,” quickly filled the auditorium. We, the honorees, were instantly happy because we knew very well that they were one step closer to graduating.

Not only did my sister graduate the Air Force BMT as an Honor Grad, she achieved Warhawk level (highest level) on her physical fitness testing and THEN was the highest achieving woman of all the Warhawks. She got to run at the head of all the flights with the commanders during the Airman's Run, and had the honor of holding the Air Force flag for their first lap. I could not possibly be more proud of what my sister has accomplished, and of the absolutely AMAZING person she is. I graduated high school today. It was very emotional and surreal for me. Glad I got to embark on such a journey. -me This is my best friend, she graduated today too and we went to each other's graduations!
