Oregon State Flag Redesign! Based on an image of Mt. Hood! Front Face!
from /r/vexillology Top comment: ***The breakdown of all the amazing symbolism in this design:*** So I was looking at a picture of Mt.Hood and it was so beautiful that I thought I would use this as the basis, I mean this literally, the colours are positioned how they were in the picture. The Colours: * **White:** represents the mountains of the state (especially Mt.Hood) as well as the snowy conditions that areas of the state experience. * **Green:** represents the forests and biodiversity of the state. * **Blue:** represents the Pacific ocean and water resources of the state. This is also a state colour. * **Gold:** represents the wealth of natural resources and nature that the state is lucky to have. This is also a state colour. * **Combination:** Green, white and blue are also the colours of Cascadia, a region the state of Oregon is within. Symbols/Icons: * **Beaver:** I mean the state is called the beaver state and the beaver is that state animal. Beavers are also awesome builders and show great ingenuity. * **Wagon wheel:** on the reverse is the wagon wheel, this is to represent the Oregon trail. See the reverse side!
