It was us.
Many months of searching had slowly began to turn into a year. Regina knew he was out there, giving the Dark One’s vague clue. They played that game well and Rumple never budged on anything further that would aide in her finding this so called ‘soul mate.’ Regina was using everything and everyone to her disposal and it had literally come down to one last inkling of feeling to look back a second time to one of the places she had first searched.
Regina stepped out onto her balcony and placed her hands on the thick iron railing. Alone, she could be nervous. When they would bring him back, that had to live up to the image that had made her so feared through the lands...even if it bothered her. Regina rarely lit it slip that she wasn’t a powerful woman who killed those that betrayed her and wielded dark magic. She had no way of knowing how this man would be, but she could definitely control how he would see her. She was a powerful queen. Regina let out a deep breath and smiled to herself. Regardless of how this man sees her...if he is the one that she seeks...nothing else would matter.
