hey do you have any tips for using mascara/eyeliner or whatever for the first time? tried a while back but i just like could not figure that shit out. or just like if you found any makeup tutorials that were useful for you or something that would be cool
unfortunately any advice I might give is super unrefined and unexperienced cuz i only bought and put on makeup for the first time 6 days ago, which is clear in how sloppy it is when i do the closeup in that one tiktok. i've also largely stayed away from tutorials, cuz i have this thing where when im trying to learn something i focus WAY too much on learning how to learn the skill, and not actually learning the skill. instead i focus on before and after pics and note the areas with the biggest differences.
for me, that means specifically looking at pictures of my sister's makeup, cuz she and i share a lot of facial features. she was also quick to give me a bunch of tips on how she does it, which was lucky. ask for help, you never know who'll be enthusiastic about giving tips!
THE ACTUAL MASCARA ADVICE PART STARTS HERE vvvvvvvvvv
best advice i can give for mascara specifically is to start on the outer edges of your eye and at least get the parts that go out to the side. starting there is also helpful because it gives you an chance to practice how close the mascara brush should be to your face without risking poking yourself in the cornea as easily. which probably WILL happen btw, u cant learn to ride a bike without falling off it a couple times. and it'll hurt for a sec but like, the unpleasantness of the situation is mostly just the shock and not the actual pain, and it'll go away faster than you think.
just give yourself the space and time to experiment with it slowly. straight up the first time i put on a full face of makeup i took it real slowly, like 40 minutes, to really be careful choosing where to put it.
there was also a big process of putting on some and taking some off, finding a final result through the process of adding and subtracting makeup.
and GET MINERAL OIL it's so fuckin good for getting makeup off. straight up, mineral oil on kitchen paper towels is better than actual makeup removing wipes i bought.
whats your favorite format of physical media? like CDs or vinyl or cassettes or whatever. im a big fan of Minidisc i think theyre really neat and clever and underrated
It's all about the .mp3 for me, tbh
Incase it hasn’t been said yet, have you played Wobbledogs? ik its not the exact same as like nintendogs but it might fill a similar niche
i have played wobbledogs and i did really really like it i just found the controls and navigation to be extremely awkward and difficult on the switch version that i had. maybe theres been some updates since i played it that make it a little less frustrating to play
