“A day may come when I am done using #por15, when I am finished with this undercarriage and under the hood work, but it is not this day. A day of cruises and trips to the drive-in when this engine clangs and fires to life, but it is not this day. Today I paint!” After prepping these #bumper, #grill, and #hoodlatch parts yesterday I got down to painting them. Turned out pretty good and I only got a little bit of the paint on me, which means I’ll have this black spot on my wrist for like a month. #MiataMonday - #MiataVlog - In our Firm400 Miata Vlog Series we wanted to share with you our very FIRST FULL EPISODE [ CLICK LINK IN BIO FOR THE FULL VLOG ] on how to fix the hood latch issue on the Mazda Miata. Our NA8 was facing the main latch issue not being able to seat properly locking into the latch. So we removed the latch from the radiator support and checked the springs and noticed that the metal lever pieces were rubbing and grinding as well as the whole piece were uneven to the point where the main lock functionality was disrupted. So after straightening out the lever pieces to the best of our ability we placed the latch back and our first attempt at fixing the hood latch this past weekend was a success!!
