People are mentioning ads and censorship hmm now that would be a change for the worse Im thinking :/

if people don't realize that a high volume - resource intensive (and expensive to operate) FREE blogging platform is going to have to do some things to survive in any real world scenario, then you're not thinking about the business end of it.
tumblr is being taken VERY seriously with this offer from yahoo, that's a lot of faith that it has the potential to create revenue.
