wendy was a bundle of nerves. she had found peter and she was supposed to tell hook and she...she just wasn't ready to yet. but if she kept it a secret for too long their deal was off. it was a hard situation to be in and she had to be smart. if she saw him...she would say something. she wasn't going to go to him, he could go to her. that way she could prolong it as long as she could. he didn't have to know when she saw peter and it hasn't been that long anyways.
it felt nice to dress up and be a part of the community. she had been standing by the bar for the last hour, but she was just trying to ease herself into it. what if she ran into peter and then hook? as much as she wanted to ignore it for a night, she was struggling. she had just downed her third shot and started scanning the room for a place to sit down and write. writing calmed her thoughts and if she just got it all written down she could be a normal person for the night. her eyes met a familiar face and even with the mask she knew. she didn't think hook would be here. she surely thought this wasn't his style, but it just turned out she really did not know much about the pirate at all. taking a deep breath she did her best to come off as the mature young adult her parents had instilled on her for most of her adolescence. she let the liquor in her system glide her over to him and give him a polite smile.
"good evening. i didn't expect to see you here."
