it’s the celebration after her big win, uma’s finally got herself a ship and the swell of pride she feels is unavoidable. one of hook’s ships is a prize to be sure, regardless of her personal feelings about the man. and besides, it’s not his ship anymore. it’s uma’s and she has her crew for it already, she merely needs a few more members to fill the ranks. so she’s put the word out, and several people have scrawled their names onto the list of pirates (or wannabe pirates) that wish to join. no way is uma considering taking on all of them, but a few names certainly stand out. she’s going over the list when she hears a familiar voice, and looks up to see the youngest hook sauntering in. “cj, here to join the celebration?” she greets with a bright smile on her lips, a rare sight from uma but she’s in a rare mood.

“that is not what i meant and you know it.” uma says, shaking her head at the girl. as much as she looks at cj as a little sister, and as much as she cares, uma can’t deny that the younger hook has a way of frustrating her. “cj you can’t just leave, and not tell anyone. if something happens to you i...” she cuts herself off, she’s not the girl’s mother and uma knows it. that doesn’t stop her from caring, or wanting to keep her as safe as possible on an island where nightmares literally breathe and live. “just, i don’t know, leave a note next time.” she finally says, resigning herself to the fact that cj will do as cj pleases even if it leads her right into danger.
