What started as a misty morning became a bright, blue afternoon. We drove past hedges and discussed past jobs we'd had and the unique characters we'd encountered there. . I thought about the people I work with and smiled to myself about how specific we all are... . In the past I had had a conversation about how we all turn into caricatures of ourselves to others. Your quirks define you and its lovingly mentioned to others that "she's the passionate, existential crisis-having coffee-loving teacher" -or- "she's the list-making, ultra-organized, silly one." -or- the "stoic, game-playing robot man" . And even though everyone is much more than that, it's a quick shorthand for reference. . On this trip I've got a massive leg brace and a cold and I've been wearing the same outfit for two days so I'm interested in the title someone might give me had they just met me... . I made this painting this morning while I was too sore to walk around outside. We visited the Hook Lighthouse and watched for seals in the swell. . #hooklighthouse #wexford #ireland #painting #ocean #gouche #illustration #sketchbook (at Hook Lighthouse)
