Things they don't tell you when you start hooping
-in the beginning you WILL get bruises. Once you get them one good time, they shouldn’t show back up. -waist hooping can be easier with a larger diameter hoop, while off-body (not on waist) can be easier with smaller diameter -you’re going to look like a weirdo. Be prepared to get some looks if you practice outside where others can see you -you’re going to FAIL FAIL FAIL AND FAIL some more, until one day, that fail magically turns into a SLAY, BABY! -while taped hoops are sexy af, a real beginner should be recommended a bare/colored polypro hoop. Tape tends to fray and can be easily damaged or scratch while practicing. However, you can buy a protective tape and I know MANY shops with stunning bare polypro. -yoga is an ideal practice for aspiring hoopers. Yoga promotes stability, arm and leg strength, and flexibility. If you’re a master yogi, you should have no problem starting to hoop. -DO NOT FEAR THE HOOP treat your magical circle like a new extension of your body
