CELEBRATING MOMS WHO WON’T BE CELEBRATED THIS MOTHER’S DAY #HOPEFORMOMS
According to the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) report in India, there are approximately 5.4 million children of prostitutes, and most live with their mothers in red light areas (NHRC, 2008), a significant multiple over the actual prostitutes. We see a similar ratio also represented with the women in our sewing centers as well. Collectively, the work of International Princess Project serves several hundred women, a large percentage of whom are single moms.
We would love for you to send something from your heart to the moms in our sewing centers in India for Mother's Day. It's a way to give #hopeformoms
How can I help?!
Just tag #hopeformoms on a post of encouragement, an image, a short movie on YouTube or Vine -- however you like to let your voice be heard! And, please get your friends involved so that we can send LOTS of love and support to these moms facing the most difficult of circumstances.
We’ll then gather all of the #hopeformom tags and share with the ladies in our sewing centers, the ladies in the surrounding red light districts, and with our larger community.
