The library is the deadest in the evening. Just after dinner when most are buckling down in their dorms to work on homework, binge watch whatever show, or are out romping around with their fellow students. Marcello can be found in any of the categories on any given night, and sometimes, there’s one other place you can find him. It’s usually right when he finds Hope.
There are only a few lone soles among the tables, books spread out and open in front of them, some napping, others playing on their phone, all blatantly ignoring the work in front of them. And there’s plenty of open tables that Marci can park himself at, let himself get lost right into the newest mobile game just like the others, but he doesn’t. Instead, he bypasses each of these students, murmuring a soft greeting to some as they smile up as he goes, and heads straight to the back little reading nook, the one that’s sort of out of sight and way too secluded for the students own behaviour.
And sure enough, that’s where he finds her.
“Hopie!” Marcello sing-songs in a sweet voice as he drops his bag with a dull thud and plops himself on the couch right next to her. “You’re here late. Studying again?” @hopexfb
