While looking for a shiny version of my mascot (oddish, of course!) and taking a break from Masuda breeding, I stumbled upon this little lady in the horde encounters! A 35% chance to encounter marill instead of the 60% chance of oddish, and while I would have preferred the oddish, a shiny is a shiny! Meet Lime! Serious, loves to eat.

I complain about a shiny dry spell, and while I'm EV training a breeding request for someone I ran into a shiny Weepinbell (luckily I was training in attack). The odd thing was, when the horde appeared, I only saw the middle three, but I saw a flash and thought it was lightning. Then when it panned out I saw the one on the far right was shiny.

I named him Salsa Verde. :P

So in the past I've had really bad luck with Horde Shiny Hunts (One time I spent like a week looking for a trevenant, never found it) (Ended up catching a Shiny Phantump in the Friend Safari instead) Anyway I got sick of Masuda Methoding and I've been looking for Poison types recently, so I decided to Horde battle for a while. After about two hours, nothing. Then, a Shiny Male Nidoran appears. "Holy f*nk" I thought to myself, carefully taking out the non-shinies to catch it. Very happy, I saved multiple times. Being a lazy douchebag, I decided to stay there and continue horde hunting rather than actually masudaing like I've been meaning to. And then, out of nowhere, ANOTHER Shiny Male Nidoran, in the same spot. In about an hour I had such good luck. (So I won't find another horde shiny for a year probably, but WORTH IT)
