- Europe, it's Where the History Comes From -
More specifically, Ireland.
This is Hore Abbey, near Cashel in County Tipperary Ireland, dating from the late 13th century. I shot this one from a high ground vantage point on the grounds of the Rock of Cashel, the former seat of the Kings of Munster (if I recall correctly), as we were road tripping across the country.
Frankly, and not even specifically because of this location, I freaking LOVE this country for a variety of reasons. Not the least of which (naturally) are the spectacular landscape photography opportunities. This shot is from 2017, and we were scheduled to go back in 2020, but the global pandemic ruined our plans.
We are planning on a return trip soon though as we are getting married this year and Ireland is going to be part of our honeymoon. Depending on circumstance though, we may have to delay the trip to 2023. Regardless, it's something to look forward to, and I really can't wait.
