Resilience to me is Hornepayne, Ontario … my new home town.
As soon as I moved to this rural norther town on Highway 631 I fell in love. This town instantly pulled on my heart strings. Yearly it suffers major layoffs, however this past year it seen 40% of the population out of work. However, the people in this town are still smiling and keep on keeping on! They have no doubts that they will overcome whatever challenges have been thrown into their faces. And living in such a beautiful space its hard to be upset and feel defeated.
This place is resilient to its core. It is like a phoenix the way it is torn down and reborn on a regular basis.
