...It should come as zero surprise for anyone that the Shadelord themselves was confused and fascinated by the very shiny snow all over the ground. Or at least they thought it was snow. No one ever taught them about diamonds. So which leads them to their current predicament.

Trying to remove some of the substance from the ground so they could if it’d make a good weapon. After a significant struggle, they huff, sitting down, looking at Hornet, before writing their thoughts down.

‘Why no move? Not break. Should break.’

EVENT STARTERS 4/4

The city has changed quite a bit ever since the disaster has begun. Fights have broken out in the streets, the weather has been completely thrown out of whack, and strange monsters roam. If ever there was proof that these so-called Stars were malevolent, this is it. They’ve been controlling every aspect of this city somehow, from the tides to the residents coming and going. It’s enough to make rage boil in the pit of Shadow’s stomach. They’ll get what they deserve.

His goal has shifted from defending the exposed wiring to finding one of these Stars and bringing them to NULL. He’s not a guard dog, and he won’t take orders. His search has taken him to Fibonacci, where the gravity is a little bit lighter now. Did they even control that? Did they fancy themselves gods, playing with their captives for their own amusement?

He spots the little spider nearby as he decides he may as well try looking inside one of the skyscrapers, and he alters his course to knock into her just like the last time. “You again,” he says, as though it hadn’t been deliberate.

“Hornet.”

Stay down and rest, they told him. Reduce your daily activities, they said. Does the Troupe Master listen? Nah, he’s hopped up on pain killers, it’s fine! At least it’s late, and the sun isn’t around to melt his brain like some people.

“I need to warn you. The Radiance is here. Powerless, of course... and I’m sure you’ll be fine, but don’t underestimate her. A petty sort, she is. Very.”

“So, that needle thing is for fighting, huh? It’s really cool!!” Kay’s staff isn’t nearly as elegant, but she manages to be pretty agile with it. (even if it does seem a little too big for her.)

For her age, she seems comfortable in a fight, even managing to make small talk as she helped watch Hornet’s back

“I don’t think we got properly introduced before!!” There’s no better place to get to know someone than in the middle of a battle, right? “My name’s Kay, what’s yours?”
