This had to be some kind of cruel joke on her, didn’t it? It seemed all of the Radiance’s strength and powers had been sapped away by some mysterious force, on top of the defeat she had already suffered at the claws of the void. And now, while she had finally found another bug in this city, it was one that she recognized in some of the worst ways.
She knew of the daughter of the beast-- the daughter of one of the dreamers who had been used to seal her away within that awful vessel. She was aware of her half-wyrm heritage, as well; it was hard not to be, when she only existed because of the deal made specifically to trap the moth god. She had only learned about the entire plan via the vessel’s memories of it post her sealing, of course... but it still meant she was aware of it.
The Hollow Knight themself had had fond memories of Hornet even if they had never been able to actually show how they felt, and those thoughts and feelings of love were some of the ones the Radiance had twisted to eventually break their mind, forcing their mind and body under her powerful control. She almost had to laugh-- the wyrm was not nearly as good at creating empty things as he thought he was, apparently.
Somehow, though, Hornet herself had always eluded her grasp. That wasn’t to say that the moth hadn’t tried to reach her too, but even after she had broken almost entirely free from within the vessel, the half-spider seemed to of had quite the resilient mind; the Radiance couldn’t find a way in, even when she did have all her abilities. And now, she didn’t even have that much.
Part of her was aware that she should probably get out of her before she was noticed, but it seemed to be too late for that already. The beast’s daughter was looking at her.
