They finally cut the grass! Or, considering how long it still was, maybe they just brought grass clippings from other parks and spread them around. Either way my allergies noticed, though thankfully not until after the game was over. As for the game itself, it was a thrilling nil-nil encounter, which the ref seemed to catch a bit less than half of. But that combined well with them having a number of players who played just a bit outside legal, though at least not in a dangerous way. I felt we were the better team most of the game, though not by a huge margin. Our finishing was a bit off or I bet we would have pulled out the victory. Personally I had a great game. Very solid defensively without any real mistakes. And I even went forward a few times and really had our best chance to score if I’d been about half a foot closer to the ball and not had to reach for it. Very good stuff overall. I think maybe my problem previously has been I was getting too much sleep the night before, that was not an issue this time but I got a good workout anyway and had a good time.
