Some silicone masks I was working on today! I’m pulling them from their molds and tomorrow I’ll be painting the details on them!
I love love love how they do the blood in hannibal. not too juicy not too watery not pink and it doesn’t look like paint. occasionally it’s a bit clear (like when chiyoh shoots those guys in the snow) but it adds to the effect
me anytime I see Tom Savini in something:
The SS Georgie with another successful voyage down the nightmarish streams of suburbia. Gud times. Wicked work from @w.angelica.w on insta

WizKids Deep Cuts Miniatures: Iron Maiden
My girlfriends birthday was this past month and while out exploring on her birthday weekend we wound up at one of our local gaming stores Atomic Empire. They have a massive wargaming/RPG selection including these pre-primed minis by WizKids. She saw this Iron Maiden and wanted me to paint it for her. She requested a bloody mess!
So us being both horror and practical effect fans I knew my end resulted needed to be high quality. This was all done with AMMO and Citadel paints via hand painted. Several layers of metallic paints and washes and finishing up with a watered down rush wash to replicate the iron/wood look from medieval torture devices of the era. The final part was the fun part and it was all the gore! I will have an article and video coming out soon on the brain matter effect but most of it was Blood For Blood God by Games Workshop. Insane blood paint for miniatures. My goal was to make it look like someone was pushed into this and impaled. So seeping brain matter and blood everywhere. Long story short Rachel loves this miniature and goes great with her ongoing collection. I plan on doing some more brutal builds involving Gundam as well. Hope you all enjoy this blood bath! Enjoy the hobby for yourself.
