Joanna Cooke - Horsebox Art Gallery
Johanna is an artist who lives in the west of Ireland and creates accessible art concerning the natural world around us. She was an A&E nurse for 20 years and during the pandemic, she and her husband decided to transform an old horsebox into a portable art gallery.
I met Joanna in Kinvara in the summer of 2022 and I was so interested and inspired by her artwork but also the simple yet effective way she displays her art to the general public.
Here are some examples of her work that I liked and that I think can relate to my project and my idea of the movement of the sea.
And although her actual art has movement within it, I am more drawn to the aspect of movement in the way she exhibits her artwork, in a free , simple and accessible way.
