“So...” Ruby slid over to Tia. “You’re like... the most powerful being in creation. Right? I mean, you could effectively kill anything if you wanted, right?” Ruby immediately brushed off her own questions. “Forget I said that, really not the road I was aiming for. I mean that you know every soul that’s ever died.” She paused trying to think of how to word her next question. “Did you... I know I died a long time ago. Too long for anyone to remember. “Well, well, there’s a face I haven’t seen in a long time. Here I thought you were avoiding me.” If the Horseman had their way, Cain suspected it would have been much longer before they ran into each other again. But it was inevitable that they would run into each other. After all, Cain had sent more than his fair share of people right into Death’s arms--or at least the arms of their reapers. “If you’re here...well, that usually that means things are about to get exciting.”

Nathan knocked on his boss’ office door before stepping in.  “Hi Tia, I wanted to get ask a few preliminary questions if that’s okay with you.  Just a way to get settled in and have a feel for our focus on this paper.”

It was quite interesting how this quaint, unassuming little town had become a haven to those who were more than human. Merrick had been observing the place for some time now, and while he was certain he could use it to his advantage, he had not yet decided how. The other non-human beings in the town could either be helpful or hindrances, but the humans too could be useful. So when he found that Tia was in town, he decided to have a word with her. 

The silly festival was not exactly the ideal backdrop for such a conversation, but when needs must. "My dear Tia, as much as I admire your work, I would appreciate it if you don't assist too many humans here in leaving the land of the living. At least for the time being," he said with a rather forced smile, "I do so enjoy their extreme emotions, and I would be quite sad if their numbers were greatly reduced."

“And I just keep running but the space in front of me is endless and I don’t even know why I’m running but for some reason I can’t stop or I don’t want to stop. It doesn’t feel like nightmare. I’m not scared. Then all of the sudden there’s a person who I never remember the face off and then I’m falling backwards and I wake up before I hit what I assume is water.” Amelia explained as she sat back, tea in hand. “My mind... so odd sometimes.”

Coffee orders and letter sorting wasn’t exactly what Amelia had pictured from a job but that’s the one she had right now. It was better than nothing and of course that meant she was surrounded by writers. She didn’t know yet if they were the kind of writers that she wanted to be too. Heading into the owners office with a light knock she held the coffee up to show her before stepping in and setting it down on the desk.

“Coffee and here your post for the day. I have a couple of copies I need to edit but is there anything you want me to do when I have some free time?” @horsemanxtia​
