While the Merritt College Environmental Management and Horticulture programs are helping students to work at the survival of the planet, the programs also are surviving the budget crunch. However, there is some good news. Even with the poor economy, the “green” sector is relatively healthy. The employment or income seeker still needs to beware of hype. With the California budget deeply cutting college courses, it is important to enroll now to keep this winter’s and spring's courses running. Students can register any time online.
