Show poster/handbill for my friends HOSHI*FURU!! They are a j-rock/punk/screamo (?? IDEK, I am so music-illiterate) influenced band. Go see their show if you're in Toronto, post-TCAF or pre-AN! They have a hilarious sense of humour and we share a love of horror manga.

I generally don't draw horror-looking things like this but I really do like it. For some reason I can't watch horror movies or sometimes even read scary stories without cowering, but in comics form it's 100% ok??? I don't get it, haha. Someday, horror comics............
[rolling out of Hoshifuru's bed where he's been sleeping over, silencing the alarm on his phone under his pillow noiselessly-- it's only 5AM, and dim. slipping to the Hoshifurus' bathroom on the landing, and slipping back in to dress in his running gear and shoes, chewing his lip-- obviously preoccupied, keeping his head lowered even though it's hazy dawn-light and the only person who could see him is fast asleep. bending his head over his shoelaces for a bit, as though he's devoting as much time to making his laces as flat and neat as those on his cleats-- then seems to come to a decision, getting up and perching neatly on the side of the bed, hand landing on his friend's shoulder and shaking gently] Mou, Kaguya, Kaguya, wake up.

[little smile kind of spreading across his face, colouring up, giving you a kind of mischievous look that saves it from being a ~mysterious Seidouzan expression~] Uhmm, maybe I shouldn't say. [ducking his head, letting his long lashes rest against his cheek, voice a little shy] But yeah, I am. [which is pretty damn obvious when he actually talks about it]

[giving a surprised squeak, torn between laughter and shyness, blushing up a little] No-- I mean, I mean yes, I mean she was very pretty-- [shaking his head once quickly to clear it, grinning a little] --but "babe" is what she called me. [with appropriate hand gestures, then tips his face up to yours, smiling mischievously] What, jealous, Kaguya?
Hitomi-san was looking at my sketchbook not too long ago, and she noticed something about Hoshifuru-kun's pictures... with his-- eye colour... [sounding thoughtful]

[and promptly dissolves into giggles, pressing his hands to his mouth to half-muffle the,-- no, he can't keep it up] Aah, Hoshifuru-kun, if you didn't hear me the first time, I can't say it again...! [laughter bubbling up in his voice]
