GRAHHH I've FINALLY finished making their couple intro pack!!
Here's my BL OCs i've been brainrotting for the past few months...
so… Hoshio and Katashi actually started as a random scribble I did years ago. This year I got reminded of them and revisited them… and now, I've somehow developed a whole story and setting around them… I accidentally cooked too hard…
Most of my couple ocs are wholesome with pretty vanilla bedroom dynamics. But with these two, I wanted to try an S/M couple. Not too dark though…more like everyday S/M but lighthearted and silly. (YEAH YEAH Call me a big weenie. I AM a big weenie..)
i think I picked the Asian music industry setting because I wanted that “perfect outside, evil inside” main character… An idol felt like the ideal vessel: sparkly onstage, menace offstage. Naturally, his sub had to be someone stuck with him 24/7... so… his manager, Katashi.
Hoshios inspiration is a lot of irl J-rock/Vkei musicians. Hyde, Gackt, Ruki(the gazette), Takeru(sug).
Do i listen to any of these guys? NOPE… BUT BEST BELIEVE I DIVED IN INTO THEIR STUFF ALL IN THE NAME OF MY SON XD. I even consulted a friend whos into buck-tick… I'm in it deep boys… And since Hoshio’s a modern star, I mixed in some K-pop vibes too. For his personality, I thought "what if a haraguro villain is an idol…". That's Hoshio.
Katashi, on the other hand, was very clear in my head: average anime man no. 1232. Just a regular salaryman who never thought much of himself… until an idol in eyeliner bullied him into realizing he’s a masochist.
Inspo for him = Idolmaster producers, faceless galge/eroge protagonists, generic seinen romcom leads. Basically: “what if the average self-insert character suddenly became a BL protag with FEEWINGS?” When they interact, they're basically “eccentric girl bothers the average guy" trope… except in this case, the eccentric girl is actually a vkei prettyboy sadist top.

But they’re not alone, there’s a whole cast of side characters. An actress mom, a chronically online streamer sister, a WHOLE ASS girlband, a barista cousin, a fudanshi student…
