There will always be little windfalls, here's a big one!
They approved me for physical therapy.
Not Medicaid, not on appeals on appeals!
Not the hospital financial assistance business deparement!
But with a 2 page poorly written letter of explanation and the business manager, office manager and physical therapist going to bat for me with the CEO of the company (hospitol) He over rode the descion and approved me for 15 sessions of aqua therapy, the office manager told me they have never done this before for their facility at least! I’m approved for two sessions a week for Outpatient PT, aqua and cranial sacral therapy. MY FIRST APPOINTMENT IS JUNE 24th! I’m psyched, praying for relief from the warm water theory pool
Let me break it down for you, how much money they are spending for me! it’s about $85 per 15 minutes if you don’t have insurance this is what they wanted me to sign that I would pay out of pocket.
Average appointment is 50 minutes
that’s about $283, that’s just over $4,200!
I really hope this will help me! In nearly eight weeks we will find out!
I may be like a professional patient now but I don’t have much patience! It’s taken six months to get this to happen after about four denials and I am just in so much shock, but good things do come in time to those who wait, impatient as I was I found programs and way to get help and I pushed and had caring people who fought for me in the background I feel very fortunate!
