BUFFY'S 2025 FAVOURITES [4/10] Movies Host (2020) dir. Rob Savage “Haley, honestly, if I die I’m going to haunt you myself.”
“Eight full lives,” I whispered against his jaw, my voice breaking. “Eight full lives and I never found anyone I would stay on a planet for, anyone I would follow when they left. I never found a partner. Why now? Why you? You’re not of my species. How can you be my partner?”
“It’s a strange universe,” he murmured.
This place was truly the highest and the lowest of all worlds - the most beautiful senses, the most exquisite emotions.. the most malevolent desires, the darkest deeds. Perhaps it was meant to be so. Perhaps without the lows, the highs could not be reached.
She was doing her own seeking. There were others like her here, or so she hoped. One in particular. A friend… no, family. Not a sister… a cousin.
Still, on Earth the Seekers had gained new status. Never before had an occupation gone so awry. Never before had it turned into a fierce and bloody battle. Never before had the lives of so many souls been sacrificed. The Host was released on May 6, 2008. Happy 10 years anniversary!

About to take another drink, Kyle lowered the bottle from his lips. He stared at his friend across the table, looking lost, confused and yearning for something he was sure he shouldn’t have. Then he turned to look towards the pantry.
“I think we’re going to need chips.” He heard Jared sigh and shift uncomfortably across from him. He sprung to his feet and ran to the pantry. “Yes, we will definitely need chips.”
Last chap of this for awhile, since I don’t have anymore typed up & all 17 of these had been written up for months, which is why I could post them so frequently. But I got myself a beta for it now! (She volunteered all by herself! Aww...people who actually WANT to hunt down & fix typos. Beautiful. :’)) Which is very exciting, so maybe I’ll get a following after all. :P
