Today marks the day that I finally received my wings!!! After a long and very intense training course with lots of hurdles and a lovely group surrounding me, I was blessed to have my mum and dad and my amazing fiancé to come and celebrate this special day with me. I'm Hawaii at the moment. I arrived at 8am local time but 4am Sydney time. I have not slept apart from a sneaky 3 hours before an Ala Moana run. Last night on out crew rest an American Passenger felt it necessary to come up next to crew rest and jabble loudly about his life story to another random passenger. After a few attempts of sticking my head out of the curtains and staring at him With daggers (which didn't phase him at all). I got used to the fact that I wasn't going to get any sleep on the flight. I got used to the rolled eyes from 2 Australian passengers by the second service. Unhappy with the lack of complementary alcohol. And everything that had a price they wanted for free. After serving the best that I could I thought to myself. You people must be so miserable with life because everything is either not good enough or a major disappointment. I actually felt sorry for them in the end. They seemed sour with life, with themselves and with each other. I actually didn't see them say a lot to each other. Just how much our airline was a joke. I hope my life doesn't end up like that. Bitter and twisted on a budget airline.
