I kind of just wanted to add to this
I’ve always sorted into cold and hot
Hot is the fiery-explosive kind where you just snap. It involves screaming, crying, and possibly hitting things. It’s where somethings has been bothering you for a while, or multiple things, and it finally just bubbles over like boiling water. Most people get this kind of anger, especially in a fight with someone you love.
Cold is the low, calm voice that scares you. It’s the type that when inflicted upon you, puts you in your place in a blink. It’s not even someone yelling “Alright! Enough!” in a calm voice, no, it’s so quiet, you can hear a pin drop. It’s best used by authoritative people, like teachers with a rowdy class, or police officers at a protest.
The best way to describe it is like a growl, while Hot anger is like a hiss.
Wet anger is like Hot anger, and Dry anger is like Cold anger to me
"Bonzo's anger [was] growing hot. Hot anger was bad. Ender's anger was cold, and he could use it. Bonzo's was hot, so it used him."
-Ender's Game (Orson Scott Card)
