Some days I wish I could just do it all over starting from high school. I would have came out sooner, told anyone who had a problem with it to go eat a bowl of fuck and been even more of a badass than I already was. I would have limited my drinking, quit taking all those pain pills, stopped pleasing people who didn't end up being worth it in the end, formed a plan for college, stuck with said plan, and steered myself away from the life of self-indulgence I've led for 3 years that inevitably led me down a path of self-destruction that almost ended me.

I read this and then I think to myself, "Yeah, okay, cause' you really had that much direction/drive/self-control at 18." Hell, it's taken me 22 years to really recognize that I have an addictive personality and can't live the way I've been living since the tender tainted age of sweet 16 anymore. I've been on a downward spiral for many years now. All talk of my life's ambitions, and little action to back them up. So many thoughts with no way to articulate them. Clinging on to a delusional dream that just keeps proving to be too far out of my reach. Filling that emptiness one stiff drink at a time. Blowing through guys like tanks of gas, hoping that one might hold my interest for longer than a couple of weeks. Hell, looking back I probably didn't even give some of them a fair chance.

No sense on dwelling on thoughts like these for long. I can only move forward from here. I've made my bed, and as uncomfortable as it might be right now I have to just suck it up and lie in it. This will all be yesteryear soon.

Someday I'll wish upon a starrrrr

Im having one of those moments where it's 1:45am and I'm singing Somewhere Over the Rainbow and crying. And thinking about how happy I am. I feel miserable a lot, but oddly I'm happy. I'm upset but I very much understand that there are worse evils in this world, and my problems are trivial. 

I will be ok. I can make my own destiny.
