Using my cat as an example. These are pads. They are similar to the bottoms of our feet. You wouldn’t walk around in 100+ degree weather barefooted would you? No. so your pet shouldn’t be walking around either. Invest in doggie shoes for your dog if you must take them out. Also don’t leave them in a car even when the windows are down (in AZ they will die windows up or down). Do not overexert them to prevent heat stroke. Take care of your pet.

Be careful this summer. Their feet get hot too.
My mom just looked at my feet.
They're burned from walking on the pavement barefoot.
It's my fault for stopping and standing every time they hurt really bad.
Now I'm home alone with my feet in a bucket of water while my brother and mom go to the mall.
