Strike to Burn || Malva & Red
Red grinned as he exited the warmth of the Pokemon Centre to snowing streets of Snowbelle City. He smiled when he felt the snowflakes land on his body. He loved the feeling of snow. There was just something about the drastically different climate from his home that intrigued him.
Growing up in Pallet Town, Red had never even seen snow until he had started off on his journey and while he had bad experiences while it was snowing, he could never hate the frozen droplets. He could never blame the snow for all the bad things that happened to him while it was snowing. It was like blaming the sun because you got hurt your knee on a sunny day, it didn't make sense.
His mood could also be attributed to the fact that he had just gotten his final Kalos badge. He had to admit that when he first gotten to Kalos, he did not expect to be competing for badges. He had gotten the badges from Kanto, Hoenn and Sinnoh but he had thought that it would be it. He had a fulfilling life competing for badges and while he didn't hate the thought of getting back into it, he thought that he would take a couple of years off and just go travelling.
That obviously didn't pan out. There was just something about the life that drew him back every single time. This time was no different. This time, he had gone back and he had beaten all the Kalos gym leaders.
He smiled when he took a look at the blue and gold Iceberg Badge. This was badge number 32 but he still hadn't battled a member of the Elite Four since Kanto all those years ago.
Maybe this time he would try his luck. After thinking about it a bit more, he decided against it. League matches weren't for him. He had gotten through the Indigo League and that was enough for him.
He put the blue and gold badge back into a small metal tin that he kept all his other badges in and looked up at the sky. He did it. He had just conquered another region. He would probably explore a little bit before heading off on his next big adventure. Who knew where that would be?
He wandered around Snowbelle for a bit, just marvelling at the beauty that the snow provided. It felt as if the snow provided the entire city with cascading fluffy pillows of comfort. He wished that he could be in an environment like this all the time.
He spent some more time just looking al over the city before taking his collapsible bike out of his backpack. He saw all he could, it looked as if it was time to leave.
He mounted the bike and took off towards the route towards Santalune City. He was probably over-excited about getting his new badge because he almost crashed into a random woman. Just as he was about to crash, he swerved sharply and just barely missed her.
When he was confident that he could control himself, he jumped off the bike to make sure the woman was okay. "Oh my God! I'm so sorry about that!" He apologized, running over to her. "Are you okay?" He asked bending down and giving her his hand.
