Here are some behind the scene sketches for the Father’s Day comic I posted for @hotbunzcomic #8. You’ll notice there are sometimes different colors for various parts of the characters. This is purposeful. I like to draw parts of the characters like this because it helps me see in my mind what’s going to move when it’s animated. This isn’t something that is mandatory...it’s just something I like to do. This was the 4th panel of the Incredibles spoof I did for @hotbunzcomic My process? 1) Watch the logo animate on the trailer a few times and sketch the logo on paper making note of the direction it moved 2) Model the logo in Blender 3) Animate the parts that needed to move and render those frames out into a png sequence 4) Import the frames into Adobe Premiere and add some lighting Kinda lengthy of a process but it was so fun to play around to see if I could do it. 😋 #hotbunz #hotbunzcomic #behindthescenes #webcomic #incredibles2 #pixar #movies #spoof #3dmodeling #animation

Incredibles 2 was such a fun summer movie! 😋 So what you see here are just sketches I made playing around with the idea of “let’s combine the Incredibles with Hot Bunz and Stewart...what would that be like?!”. These are just behind-the-scenes sketches for @hotbunzcomic . I sketched a toilet...which I’ve never drawn before. Lol 🤣 So after I sketched it out, I 3D modeled the toilet in Blender. Also something I’ve never done before either. 😅 The turnarounds of Hot Bunz were for me to practice and understand what HB would look like as he spun around. I always sketch out little movements like this before I actually animated more difficult scenes.
