This is Raspberry Moon by Hotline TNT. Released in June of 2025 featuring band members; Will Anderson, Mike Talston, Haylen Trammel, Lucky Hunter, Amos Pitch and Tim Anderson. This is the third studio album release by the alternative rock band, a jangly pop rock album infused with pop punk and fuzzy shoegaze. A clear pivot from the bands previous works into a more lighthearted sound.
Favorite Track: Break Right
Break Right is the sixth track on the album and features a melancholic guitar riff the length of the song accompanied by jingly piano, tambourines and a drum loop. The music overall is simple and easily digestible and makes for wonderful background music. The lyrics are a little heavier in tone seemingly dealing with themes of infidelity, distrust and self preservation. It feels as if the band is addressing the listener in knowing that this album is different from their previous works but affirming that the band is staunch in the direction they took.
Rating: 8/10
While this is a slight deviation from the bands previous albums, I can appreciate the inclusion of flute and piano into rock music. Especially when integrated as well as Hotline TNT has done here. The album overall has a nice serene feel to it while still retaining that signature sound they’ve come to be known for. I’m very hopeful for the future of this band and highly anticipate more from them.
