The Army was saturated with countering the Mahdi offensive and we where not on the high priority list. Blackwater Air, The Ass Monkeys took things into their own hands. Loading the Little Birds with what we needed. The weight meant they could not bring gunners or a copilot in this picture the pilot lands one skid on the corner of a six foot wall bringing the ammo directly to us on the roof while we where sending lead down range. He held it steady like that while we grabbed the supplies an incredible example of airmanship and doing the right thing without regard for his own safety. He was under fire the entire time. Steve Chilton had retired from the Nightstalkers when he joined BW. He never let his customers down and we would have been in dire straights without his skill and bravery.
