TW: Vintage racism
~ Hotpoint appliances ad, c. 1920s*
An advertising pamphlet for Hotpoint “Servant” appliances. In the 1920’s “Hotpoint Servants” were being advertised and sold by the General Electric Appliance Company, Inc. Their ‘Breakfast Set’, including toaster and percolator, etc., was a best seller. Also, they chose to advertise their appliances in the most offensive way possible: "Not like a servant, more like a slave!"
