Helping his mother prepare the holiday meal. He's enjoyed cooking for a very long time, and he was often in charge of things like washing vegetables, measuring out ingredients, and mixing fillings. Holidays were always a big event, given the amount of extended family and friends, and Alola's pleasant climate meant outdoor parties that would last well into the evening.
It sticks out in his mind because he considered those tasks important, and the adults trusted him enough to let him participate. He'd always felt a sense of pride once the meal was served, knowing he'd been a part of it.
