Katespur, 25, Exchanging Letters

For @strengthsbystrengths sorry for taking so long on this! 

1.  Kate- Sorry this letter is so brief I'm running out of time but I'm writing to tell you we're moving out tomorrow to meet with Douglas in combat again and this time we are going to win. Again. Please stay in good health and watch the house. -Harry ---

2. Harry, 

Take care of yourself. I will look after Alnwick, don't worry. I wish you good fortune and may God protect you. I pray you come home soon. -Kate ---

3.  Kate- Bad day today. Scots had the upper hand but not for long. My father and I should have this dealt with in no time. I liked getting a letter from you. I need socks though.  -Harry --- 4. Harry, I've sent some socks with this letter. I hope you are still well when this reaches you. I worry about you even though I know I shouldn't. Please come home safe. -Kate  --- 5. 

Kate- I got the socks and they're very nice. It is very cold up here right now I suppose it is in Northumbria but it's still cold here. I look forward to being home and telling you of our heroic exploits. I miss your company. -Harry  --- 6. Harry, It is cold here, as you said. I am beginning to get lonely here, the cold makes it worse. Still, I will be fine, don't worry about me. I miss you too, Harry, so come home soon. -love, Kate --- 7. Kate- I'm coming home soon. I have to write quick and send this because we have to get going. Sorry I missed your birthday. -love Harry --- Kate looked down at the small pile of letters that had been sent to her from the field by Harry- her Harry. The letters they'd exchanged over the months had grown softer, reflecting the progress of love between them. With Harry gone most of the year, these letters were all they had. Sighing like the girl in love she was, Kate gathered the letters and held them to her chest and closed her eyes, imagining Harry coming home. There was so much that couldn't be expressed in ink and paper.  --- Harry stuffed his belongings into his rucksack, preparing to return home to Alnwick. As he did so, he came across the pile of letters he'd gotten from home, all from his wife Kate. As they progressed, Harry noticed he started sounding more affectionate. He hoped he never ended up writing sappy love letters, but he did admit to Kate he missed her. The letters she'd sent to him were reminders of something waiting for him to come home. He carefully put the letters in his bag and hoped when he got home he'd have the words he wanted to tell Kate but couldn't figure out how to write.
