Shaken, Sage, and Sandalwood || Calisto and Sanford
Pendragon’s was a little shop that Sanford found himself often entering. It had many things that he used during his massage sessions and while some of the prices were steeper than the supermarket, the products were of tremendously better quality. Candles, incense, essential oils, and other small items were what had Sanford returning weekly, sometimes more often depending on his work schedule.
The owner of Pendragon’s, Calisto Pendragon, was a face that Sanford had grown familiar with over the years. He was young, but he seemed to know his stuff, and was always honest about what he was selling; that was something that Sanford respected. There were too many people looking to con others out of their money.
Sanford gathered a few essential oils: amyris, clary sage, myrrh, and sandalwood. Many of his oils shattered when the earthquake hit and while Sanford would eventually need to replace them all, today he had a very specific goal in mind. He needed to center himself. While he escaped the ballroom relatively unharmed physically, his mind was a place of unrest. The darkness got to him, piercing and invading the shroud of his mindscape.
It had been a few days since the earthquake but the town seemed to still be picking up the pieces. The same could be said of Sanford. The normally cheerful and smiling man had a stoic affect, bothered by the nightmares that he couldn’t find the energy to fight off.
Placing the items on the counter to check out, Sanford was thankful that the shop was open.
