There were some that would say that Makishima knew a hound when he saw one, but that was a bit of a distortion of the truth.
Truthfully, it was by the way that they double-taked, blinked, and held disbelief to seeing him that was the real cinch.
He was bored. Or unamused, but mostly bored. He flicked on past the pages of his book, reading nothing of the pages, and felt dreadfully unstimulated. Quite, the introduction of the orange-haired hound was enough to draw his attention away from that and on to him for the reason that he was so without. The book found a table, and Makishima found his legs as he stood up.
"You keep staring at me like that, and I might become convinced that something is wrong."

Someone’s decided to nod off on the couch, blanket covering his whole body as head slips down, temple resting on the Enforcer’s leg. The rest of his head has an arm curled around it from where it had formerly been rested on bent elbow, cheek propped up on hand to stare at the screen. It only lasts a moment before Alex jerks back up to place cheek back onto palm, lashes drooping again. He hasn’t exactly been the most alert companion the past two days and has been a little off.

“Don’cha know it’s rude to keep lookin’ over someone’s shoulder without even sayin’ hello?”

She spots him out of the corner of her eye as she’s leaving for the day. Perhaps night is more accurate. Having found herself on a separate shift, it’s been a while since she’s seen that bright hair, let alone that smug face. A week isn’t really a long time, but it feels it. She’s tired, but it won’t hurt to say hello before she leaves.
“Kagari-kun!” she says loudly, trying not to shout, hand shooting into the air to try to catch his attention.

“i’m too tired and lazy to make a joke about how gingers have no soul, so just take this--i’m worried about a ginger legitimately stealing my soul. that’s some scary shit, man.”
