Offerings to Bast. Her altar is facing North in the house right now. North is associated with business and career, it has the energy of new beginnings, the direction of steadiness and balance. It is the direction of internalization and quiet, the place where we burrow deep beneath the frozen ground of the self and come back up with true self-knowledge and wisdom. Inside her box are offerings of flowers like rose hips and petals and carnations. There's also herbs of rosemary, nutmeg, red pepper, star anise, cinnamon and honey. Cat nip, frankincense, and a naturally shed cat whisker from my cat Marley.
