Housekeeping Tracker

The usual housekeeping tracker is back. I found the way I was setting it up for the past two months was hard for me to read. In large part because I don't have a steady hand, it may look like it to some people but a pale marker and enough lines can create that illusion.

I've removed the days which I consider housekeeping days, because that has not changed since I started doing this. I am also hoping to do more during the workweek so I'm spending less time during the weekend cleaning. We'll see what happens.

I actually, probably, should have filled this out before taking a picture. That's because the monthly/one off tasks always includes something that gets done once in a blue moon.

There is enough room for two blue moon tasks, I remember what one of them is and not sure if I remember what the other one was. There's a lot of them.

To the rare soul who follows this blog regularly, if you're wondering where the exercise tracker went to, I forgot. Don't know why, it's not like I haven't been doing that set up for over a year now. It'll show up later.

Housekeeping Tracker

The housekeeping tracker is one of those things that never changes because it does what I want it to do. Granted there's a few more spots in the Monthly Tasks, as I'm hoping I'll do a few outstanding things that just need to be done.

Like remove my bathroom stopper so I can clean it properly...

I may change how I do this tracker next month I think. Especially since being sick so such long periods of time has pulled me out of my cleaning habits.

I also don't always like to have a full cleaning day on a weekend, but I had done that because I didn't want to do cleaning during my work days. On the other hand, doing a few chores during the weekday may be better... We'll see.

While the layout looks different the concept hasn't changed at all. Honestly, dividing my tasks like this is probably my favourite way of doing things.

And the little mistakes continue in this set.

I apparently did not label what each box is, which was the frequency in which a chore would be done. However, I have done this type of tracker for so long now that I know exactly which box is which so I guess it doesn't matter.

For those not familiar, each box represents if I do something on a monthly, bi-weekly or weekly basis. I colour in the boxes according to which week I will do that task.

August 2024 Housekeeping Tracker

I actually don't think I've ever shown anyone a fully filled out housekeeping tracker before. The way this tracker works is that each box represents a week, and a coloured in box means that the task has to be done that week.

Last month, wanting a new layout, I had split up the tasks into things that needed to be done monthly, bi-weekly and weekly. I actually like this set up a lot, in large part because I can then put one off tasks into the monthly section. This is helpful for clear cut tasks like sections of my home to declutter, though not useful for any tasks that have more than one step.
