The groggy reply, coupled with her arms wrapping around him dragged Ed further from the dregs of sleep. A kiss to his bare shoulder once Ling had pulled his stocky frame against hers made him sigh. && indeed, she was still on his hair, but he wasn’t about to try waking her a second time. Not when the first attempt had proven so fruitless.
In time, he crawled out of their tangle. Dragged mop-ish, blonde locks from beneath her weight, && ducked out of the embrace with the finesse of a monkey. Such as he had been likened to many times over the years. Left on the edge of the bed with both feet flat on the floor, he sighed a second time, reaching back to braid his hair. He didn’t feel quite right now that he was awake, but he had no strong urge to try falling back to sleep. The sun would be coming up soon anyway.
Coffee sounded like the better decision. . .
