Still on my African violet 🌸kick, but this post applies to all plants. If you receive a gift 🎁 plant 🌿, such as the one in the picture, you should be thrilled! I would be. But, there is a problem with this picture. Yes it is absolutely beautiful and would is perfect for decorating your home. Yet, if left this way for long, it will probably die. I would immediately remove the plants or at the very least remove the decorative moss. The moss, if wet, would rot the plant stems and I imagine there is no drainage in the pot. That being said, if you want to use it as decoration, like you would a bouquet of cut flowers and discard it when it's no longer attractive, by all means, go for it. I of course, as a crazy plant lady 💚, I will do what I can to make them live and grow for as long as possible. Don't feel bad, though if you go the compost pile or trash route. What would you do with this plant? . . #giftplantsarethebest #giftplant #houseplants #houseplanthints #letmehelp #indoorplants #urbanjungle #house_plant_community #greenyourfeed #flowersofinstagram #Africanviolets #gesneriad #fuzzyleaves #planthoarder #crazyplantldy #iloveplants #urbanjungle #plantsmakepeoplehappy #bhghome #betterhomesandgardens #plantaddict #plantnerd https://www.instagram.com/p/B9WsYcYgbXz/?igshid=1mjcah15kgi9f
