the short film SAFETY NET was inspired by one real guy who struggled to hold on to his home when he faced foreclosure.  but the truth is that 7 million americans lost their homes during the housing bubble collapse.  given how profound this experience is -- it’s hard to believe we aren’t talking about it and hearing about it more.  but the shame and the fear and grief also constrain our conversation.  if we want an american dream to exist, we do need to talk about our nightmares too.
