Self-flying camera drone Hover 2 hits Kickstarter

Zero Zero Robotics, makers of the original Hover drone, introduced the Hover 2 today. Though it maintains the same folding, enclosed propeller design, almost everything else is new. Standout new features and specs include:

4k/12mp videos and photos

360º obstacle avoidance

23 minute flight time

2-axis gimbal (with E.I.S.)

Optional controller with 5k range

The new Hover 2 drone is available through Kickstarter now. It starts at $399 and will ship to backers in March 2019. Zero Zero Robotics says they expect the Hover 2 to land on store shelves in Q3 of 2019.

My snow day was spent watching Dark Angel in between bouts of shoveling. During that watching, I started modeling a hover drone. It's not an exact replica (I made a few alterations), and it might not be done yet (thinking about adding police lights), but here it is so far!
