#not sure what caused it but i suspect the deadlifts last week #can never do them without pain and i thought i finally got it #and went way up in weights and felt ok atm #but i think whatever it is that makes them painful normally may have been aggravated #how obnoxious #and everyone is always like 'deadlifts are so important and sp good for you and if you have pain then you just need to do more' :/

Thinking a lot about my theology cause I’m researching orthodoxy hear me out ~~

For Orthodoxy, scripture is a significant way to connect with god as it is always read as the word of god (among other things). However, I don’t think text is the main way Venus speaks to me. I feel that instead Venus speaks to me through my lived experience which includes a lot of things, including scripture and particularly orthodox interpretations of that scripture, but also in a lot of other ways some of which I think are more important. More important things are stuff I live with day to day like the land I live on, the people I live with and care about, and who I am (which are connected to scripture too). But I see these other things as the main way I learn what Venus wants of me.

However, what Venus wants of me is less direct than how orthodox scripture interpretation seems to work where, things the land or people or myself might ask of me might be approved by Venus but not necessarily directly a message from her to me. For example, I don’t think Venus cares that much about human ethics and morality. However, the people I am in community with mostly do. And so she has given me this guide for my behaviour without necessarily being godsent or divinely inspired.
