🚬》 Are you planning to hurt yourself deadlifting again? She has no idea when she agreed to come along to make sure you don't hurt yourself, that you had a little evil plan cooking.
🚬》 It was not the first time she joined you in the gym. She doesn't go regularly like she should, but she is familiar enough with how a workout should go. With how much you work out, she picked up a thing or two.
🚬》 So when you bring her over to the bench press, she just figured you wanted to work on building your chest muscles. Even as you do a warm-up, she doesn't pay it any mind the amount of weights you put on, not making the connection that those plates match up with her weight.
🚬》 "Shoko, I need you to do something."
🚬》 "Alright? And what do you need me for?"
🚬》Imagine her surprise when you ask for her to lay across your chest after your first rep. She differently confused, but she humor your request.
🚬》 Next things she knowd she held up in the air as you began doing another set, but this time using her as your weight. It isn't as effective, but it didn't need to be to get the point across.
🚬》 If she had a cigarette in her mouth, it would have fallen from her lips. Eyes widen a bit as blood rushes to her cheeks. She stunlocked. She stays in that position for a good while giving you enough time to finish the reps you need.
🚬》 "There are other ways to show of your strength, you know…”
🚬》 With an awkward laugh, she lends into it, accepting the position of your weight. Might even kick back and light up a cigarette as you lift her.
🚬》 This experience had been quite eye-opening for her as the mental image of you lifting her will be forever burned into her mind. She wouldn't mind being picked up again and maybe be carried around. So don't be surprised when she starts requesting you to lift her up.

🗡》 At the beginning you could trick her to go along with your evil plan. She goes to the gym not as often as you so when you asked her to come along with you to do chest and back she didn't think much of it.
🗡》 For a good while, it would be a nomral workout as the two of you rotate between the use of the machines and resting after a rep. With light banter between, it was a rather nice moment the two of you were sharing.
🗡》 So it was not a surprise when the two of you moved over to the bench press. What makes her notice what is going on is that you didn't put any weight on the bar. At first, she just thought you were doing a warm-up set with a lighter weight, but the second she sees you move that bar out of the way, it over.
🗡》 "Maki, you would mind if -"
🗡》 "Lift me? I’m heavier than I look, but I oppose you can try."
🗡》 She teases you a bit but goes along as she is rather curious if you could even do so. Plus, it would be a nice change of pace to be the one being lifted.
🗡》 So when you lift her, she impressed. A soft hum leaves her lips as she counts how many reps you can do using her as your weight.
🗡》 Even if you are only able to do one, she still praises you that you were able to lift her. Even telling you that all your effects in the gym have really paid off.
🗡》 "Didn't realize how strong you truly were. Guess I'm no longer the strong one in the relationship, heh."
🗡》 A smile wouldn't leave her face as she gets off as she tells you it her turn to lift you. As after all this was still a workout, it was just her turn on the bench.
🗡》 This would become an inside joke the two of you have. As the both of you could fondly recall your silly plan to trick her so you could bench press her.

' not everyone betrays '. He should laugh, truly let out something akin to manic laughter to prove to this man that insanity has veiled him. That there is nothing left of the boy, the young man, he had been back then. This version is wounded, damaged beyond repair, where whatever sanity he has left, is holding on for dear life. If John truly has recognised him, then Silver pities him for the views he still has on the world. This horrible place that is nothing but evil and darkness. Kindness cannot survive here, not on its lonesome. Not when loneliness makes for easy prey. Kindness, after all, is never free.
Tired eyes meet those of John's, but despite the exhaustion there is also a sharpness in the way he looks at him. Calculating, as if he cannot quite trust that this presence is a safe one. Everyone has a dark side, tricks and lies exists all in an attempt to lower guards. So he smirks, it isn't a kind one, it isn't even a friendly one. This one is a warning, a telltale that despite his state, Silver isn't weakened. He will not go down without making a goddamn scene.

Calloused fingers tap against the hardwood table, he shifts slightly, only to allow his bad leg some more space. The crutch is left within his reach, for he has taught himself to use it as swiftly as a blade if necessary. Not that he believes it will be, but one can never be too careful. Not when former friends can turn against each other at any given moment. Even so, he speaks with a playfulness, one that also speaks of wary observations.
