Remembering Howard Storm 1931-2026
Stand-up comedian-turned-writer / director Howard Storm has died at 94. He got his start as an assistant to Woody Allen and worked he way to writing for TV shows like The Partridge Family, All in the Family and Happy Days. He directed for countless TV shows including Laverne & Shirley, Mork & Mindy, Taxi, Gimme a Break!, Joanie Loves Chachi, Too Close for Comfort, Perfect Strangers, Me & Mrs. C., Mr. Belvedere, Valerie, and a 1989 episode of Alf (the one where neighbor's nephew Jake's mother comes to visit). Wow - that's more than a few TV shows I watched a lot as a kid! He also directed the 1985 vampire comedy Once Bitten, notable for being Jim Carrey's first starring role.
